Catherine Howie is a hard working and highly motivated second year student at the University of Glasgow studying Law and History. She would love to take part on an exchange to widen her horizons and experience different culture.
The aim of her internship at REDHAC was to gain further knowledge about Human Rights and to experience how the work is organized and carried out in practice in an international non-governmental organization, as well as to complement her academic skills with practical experiences. Her internship has given her knowledge in the area of human rights and the work of human rights defenders, this includes both the violations carried out against defenders in Central Africa especially in Cameroon and internationally as well as the work of human rights defenders. Additionally, she has gained understanding about what strategies and mechanisms REDHAC uses in their work to assist and defend these defenders.
In her University, she was a member of Amnesty International group.

Chao Yan Jian is interested in this experience because International Politics and Cooperation are her passion. She just finished her master degree in Political science and International Relations.
Moreover, she has taken part in several activities related to her academic’s fields: she took part of two Model United Nation in New York, she participated also in a NATO Simulation; all this activities made her to understand she really want for her future and this experience will gave her the chance to understand and practice all topics she had studied in her academic carrier.  She was the Vice President Talent Management of AIESEC Milano from July 2013 to March 2014.

Plus, she is really interested in Africa and her master degree thesis was about “the evolution of peacekeeping operations in Africa: comparison between the cases of Angola and Namibia”.
For these and many other reasons, she believes that this experience is what she need now.
Chao Yan Jian did an internship on the Theme: Women Rights in Central Africa precisely in Cameroon.

Tate Chong is interested in the opportunity to contribute to the fulfillment of REDHAC’s organization objectives. Given her background personal beliefs and qualifications, she is positive in her work and her extra curricular experience makes her an ideal candidate for the intern position in REDHAC.
She is a first year Civil Law student who is doing a double major in international Development. This year, she has taken courses in Canadian Criminal Law, International Public Law, as well as Civil Law courses such as Family and Contracts. Furthermore she has studied both English and French. She has involved in Organization such as Model UN and Amnesty International Demonstrating her passion in being involved with social development work.
Tate Chong did an Internship on the Theme: Indigenous peoples of Cameroon and the Issue: Does indigenous Cameroonian entitled to exercise the right of self-determination?

Monsieur BATUNDI HANGI Vicar est Coordinateur du FDAPID (Foyer de Développement pour l’Autopromotion des Pygmées et Indigènes Défavorisés) Hope for Indigenous people. Il est boursier du Centre Africain pour la Démocratie et les Etudes des Droits de l’Homme (ACDHRS- Gambie) en collaboration avec l’International Center for NOT-for-Profit Law (ICNL-USA),il a été choisie pour participe à un programme de bourse dans le cadre du projet soutien à l’initiative de la société civile Africaine (ACSSI), mis en œuvre par ACDHRS et la ICNL.
L’objectif de la bourse est de partager des connaissances et de l’expérience avec les dirigeants des ONG dans les pays d’accueil, renforcer les compétences pratiques nécessaires pour promouvoir les initiatives de droit de la société civile dans le pays d’accueil de reforme et de partager les meilleures stratégies.   
Le thème de son stage été « Environnement légal sur la liberté d’Association, d’expressions, de réunion et de manifestation pacifiques ».
